Here’s what’s going on: I like (live) music. I like pretty design-y things to look at. Combine these two things and that explains my interest in concertposters. On this particular tumblr I put my picks from the new arrivals rss-feed from the lovely gigposters.com website. It’s a very subjective selection. I’d have to like the band(s) mentioned and the design. The question I am asking myself is basically: would I like to have this particular poster hanging on my wall? (Whether or not I have attended said concert doesn’t matter)
I know it’s not very nice of me that I don’t credit the designers. It’s just that I thought it looked prettier without any text cluttering the view. And if you click on the image you’ll be transferred to the poster’s original home on gigposters.com and you will find information on who designed it and all that. Occasionally I feature posters I find on other sites than gigposters.com but then also holds: a click on the picture will bring you the site where I found it originally.
I actually have just one gigposter hanging on my livingroom wall, this one. I also do Pining For The Fjords which is just random, other stuff I like.
